@gglpnh I have lots of respect for Boxalex, and you could read it in an other way too, that way the joke isn’t on him. Boxa will never ask to lift his ban and he is right 😂 Someone really showed his true colours in this regard

I have my coins on the Ledger Nano X…Here’s what I’ll be doing…
1. Download ZecWallet and sync the entire blockchain
2. Before the “snapshot” xfer the coins to the ZecWallet and export Private Key.
3. After snapshot is over move coins back to Ledger Nano X from ZecWallet.
4. Download and sync YecWallet and import private keys.
5. Profit.

“So I had a conversation with Howard Loo”
Just so you folks know, I texted back and forth with Howard Loo a lot today. This is the first time we’ve had a conversation since that 1-hour-long phone call we had right after the Ycash announcement. I figure it can’t hurt to disclose all these details, just so that everyone knows there has been almost zero cooperation between him and me before now (for example, I learned about the Ycash project from the forum post just like everyone else), but there will likely be more communication between us going forward. We don’t have any specific plans or anything yet, but I’m just enthusiastic in general about the potential for the Ycash project to turn into excellent partners and allies. The one thing that Howard emphasized was that in addition to all the other steps they’ve already taken to protect users from problems due to the chain-fork ([Review Ycash fork to ensure Ycash nodes will not cause problems on the Zcash network · Issue #4007 · zcash/zcash · GitHub](https://github.com/zcash/zcash/issues/4007#issuecomment-491554557)), he’s prioritizing a solution to the nullifier-re-use issue ([Review Ycash fork to ensure Ycash nodes will not cause problems on the Zcash network · Issue #4007 · zcash/zcash · GitHub](https://github.com/zcash/zcash/issues/4007#issuecomment-491397429)). I’m not too worried about that issue, personally, because the amount of privacy-leakage from it is very little, and I think it probably wouldn’t negatively impact anyone in practice. (This is unlike the comparable issue in small-privacy-set technologies like the current version of Monero, where people re-using their secrets on both forks of a chain-fork can be catastrophic for privacy.) However, the fact that this sort of thing is what Howard is prioritising speaks well of him. 🙂 👍

The Ycash Foundation is completely independent from both the ECC and Zcash Foundation, and will remain completely independent in perpetuity.

You’ll need to check whether Jaxx Liberty allows you to export your ZEC private keys. If yes, then you’ll be able to export those private keys from Jaxx Liberty and then import them into YecWallet. The mainnet version of YecWallet will be available in the next few days.
Also, I’m working on a Ycash guide for Zcash holders that will walk through the steps of Importing your private keys into YecWallet.

Reply not to bash Ycash, because it applies for all Cryptho.
Becarefull with private keys. Not your keys means, not your coins. ( The reason not to store coins on exchanges, if you don’t trade, get them away from there, exchange gone means coins gone )
If you use your private keys or want to, check your computer very well. 1 keylogger is enough to steal your Cryptho ) so be sure to use a safe computer.
As said, not to bash Ycash, But the fork could also spark people with less Noble goals. But private keys and clean computers should be a no brainer for people operating in this space.

What are the exchanges for the Ycash (Yes-Man-Cash)?
I would like to get rid immediatly of the few Ycash i receive. Anybody planning to hold this 1-man-show-coin?

Depends on the price I think @boxalex.
And by that I mean, it has to have a nice price to even use my private keys.
Everything under 5 and I won't even bother. May the price rise, I still can claim them, but In my opinion, a price above 1 would be a nice start, I myself think it will be under 1 cent. Then there still is room to make a profit, but rather put my money in other baskets. I already saw people that think 1 Ycash will be 0.5 Zec 😂 Gonna be an old Skool pump and dump I guess. Zcash will rise too and fall back big after the Fork. A well, we will see

@muxixoluco thank you for posting that link, glad someone out there is looking out for the Friendly Fork
@boxalex I would direct you to the Ycash forums since you are banned from the non free speech discord channel but since that isn’t an option for you, but since that isn’t an option either I thought I would help.
I remember reading and went back to the twitter feed to find that [SafeTrade](https://safe.trade/trading/zecbtc) is the only exchange on record that says it will be live when block 570000 hits. Binance is still pending…
Also looking at the twitter feed a wallet called Bitpie ([bitpie.com](http://bitpie.com)) could be an option

I visited the ycash main page for information, and only found outdated information, Twitter, other websites and the Zcash forums seem to be the main sources of information. I would Visit the Discord channel to look for information but there is no doubt in my mind as soon I entered I would be banned, and I am not giving the administrator the satisfaction.

I will probably claim my YEC, unless it’s a huge hassle to do so. If I do, I will hold it or use it to buy things (when that’s eventually possible). Just my plan, probably not representative.

Example: if you send your ZEC to lets say Jaxx wallet before fork. Do you need to use your private keys to claim YEC with ZEC on the wallet? Or you just withdraw ZEC from Jaxx after fork and then claim YEC with your private keys ?

In your scenario, I’m assuming that after the fork you are withdrawing your ZEC from Jaxx and into another wallet. I’m also assuming that Jaxx allows you to export your ZEC private keys (you’ll need to make sure that is true).
Yes, once you make the ZEC transfer to another wallet **after** the fork, you can still import those private keys into YecWallet to access your YEC, because at the time of the fork, those private keys had ZEC associated with them (even though post-transfer they no longer do).
