This is not about me. If it’s Twitter, that makes sense because it consists of all communities. I just feel wrong to have Ycash or Bitcoin focused discussions in Zcash forum.
That said, now might be a good time to check rules of posting in this forum. cc @Shawn
I don’t want to fight hard on this, as this is not going to be productive since you are part of Zcash community. Just wanted to share what I felt after seeing Ycash-only posts on this forum.
Strictly speaking, there is nothing in the forums CoC that prohibits the discussion of other coins.
Ycash is a unique case with regards to most other Zcash forks. @hloo has been a forum member since well before he and others decided to make “Ycash, the first Friendly Fork of Zcash”. In fact, this idea of collaboration rather than competition was first proposed by Zooko back in 2017 before Ycash launched:
Since Howard and the others at Ycash have always been respectful and appreciative of Zcash and its community we afford them the same respect in return. I ask that you do the same. They have been considerate by keeping to very few threads of discussion that focus on Ycash and are proactive in asking for consolidation when needed to avoid spawning too many threads.
So, in my opinion, discussion of Ycash is not violating any forum rules.
Heads up…Ycash is upgrading at block 1100000, sometime around 15:00 UTC tomorrow.
Its a ‘three for one special’ with Blossom, Heartwood & Canopy in rapid succession.

Impressive! How did Ycash implement a spam-fees solution so much faster than Zcash? Is any of the Ycash upgrade able to be ported into Zcash?

No, there is Zero coin, it’s the first forked coin from Zcash.

I think many hold both coins, precisely because it was a friendly fork. I do wonder if ycash will upgrade to orchard eventually.

cause as an investment YEC is already cooked for certain
whereas ZEC probally has its final chance to remain relevant this cycle
on technology side its favoring ZEC too cause thats where most of the ZKP cryptographers still are working… YEC is sort of like a stripped down version of Zcash with only fractions of the academics needed to competititevely sustain it long term
