For me this is an interesting application with a good chance of getting accepted:
It improves the security of Zcash, the grant application is well written and structured, the requested sum is modest, and the grantee seems to know what he is talking about at first glance.
As a committee member I would dig deeper into the tech/proposal and probably have one call with the applicant.
If all checks out it seems like a good pilot with with the opportunity to draw experienced security engineers more into Zcash. And since good human capital is the scarcest form of capital that’s usually worth it in the long-term.
