# Contra the Zcash Dev Fund

I’ve been around Zcash since the beginning, and I’ve watched some version of this Dev Fund debate come around again and again. The opinions have always been strong because the stakes are real.

Now we’re back at it, but this time we have 10 years of Zcash history to argue from.

The Zcon archive doesn’t just show what grants funded. It shows the Dev Fund itself being debated, redesigned, criticized, and defended over the years. There’s plenty there for both the pro and contra cases.

Don’t just make your argument in a forum post. If you have a case to make about what Zcash funding got right, got wrong, or could have done differently, make a film.
