This week we continued many of the projects highlighted in the past couple of updates ([1](https://forum.zcashcommunity.com/t/december-15-2017-dev-update/24242),[2](https://forum.zcashcommunity.com/t/december-8-2017-dev-update/23971)) so I won’t reiterate the details and keep this a short one. These projects include Overwinter specification, 1.0.14 code review and testing, Sapling specification and implementation, website scaling improvements and the UX dev guideline.

We successfully merged support for [incoming viewing keys](https://github.com/zcash/zcash/pull/2143) into the release candidate and are hurrying to get [remote proving](https://github.com/zcash/zcash/pull/2120) in there as well.

You can check out all the remaining goodies already in 1.0.14 RC via the [release planning tracking](https://github.com/zcash/zcash/projects/19) we keep.

Next week will be RC testing and the first week of the new year should be the full release.

If anyone in the community is in Berlin for the beginning of the new year, definitely join us at an event we’re co-hosting on the 3rd called [Privacy for Everyone](https://leastauthority.com/blog/least-authority-and-the-zcash-company-are-hosting-a-conference-privacy-for-everyone/).

Happy Holidays!

Should we expect a new DEV UPDATE soon? I hope everyone on the Zcash team had a great Holiday Season!
