Prior to Ironwood integration, I was dealing with not being able to transfer my funds out of Zodl Wallet. The issue was never resolved, unfortunately. Now that the Ironwood integration is complete, my Zodl app does not show my funds. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if team knows how it can be resolved?
You can import your seed into zkool. When you are restoring the account, there is an option called ‘use internal change’ in the advanced options that you need to select to properly restore the balance.
Zcash transactions, like regular cash transactions, usually result in getting change back. Zodl (formerly zashi) uses a different default change address then Zkool (formerly Ywallet, not really but sort of) and so this option exists to enable recovery of accpunts from a wider range of wallets.
When you mention that it’s complete, was it the upgrade to an Ironwood compatible version of Zodl that your funds no longer displayed in app, or was it following the completion of the Orchard>Ironwood migration tool in-app?
Could you confirm which platform and version of Zodl you’re currently on?
Have you attempted to restore your recovery phrase in a second instance of Zodl?
When adding a new account in Zkool, you would choose ‘Restore account’, inputting the recovery phrase, birth height, and toggle both Advanced Options and ‘Use Internal Change’.
When you reset, are you certain that you used the original seed words? Is the wallet fully synced? And is a Keystone hardware wallet involved at all, or is it just Zodl holding the seed?
Yes certain because I’ve reset the wallet prior to Ironwood and funds were there. I was having an issue earlier this year with my funds not being able to leave Zashi/Zodl. Boston was assisting me as well as Jeremy I believe. Then I opened Zodl after the integration of Ironwood and allowed for it to fully sync and funds aren’t there. At first I figured it might take some time to show up. But it continues to not show funds. No Keystone hardware wallet is involved. Was hoping to utilize in the near future.
Have you been able to import the recovery phrase into Zkool yet?
So you’re aware, Zingo is another wallet directly compatible with Zodl recovery phrases. Importing into either of these wallets (while selecting an early enough blockheight) would be a good confirmation.
To be comprehensive, I would choose 2419000 as the blockheight, as Zashi was released in March 2024, which would make this the earliest one for a Zashi-generated wallet.
i have same issue - i shielded my funds then i got this update to migrate to ironwood , it seems like stuck at 1 point then i left it for few days , then later on i tried to use the wallet and it was still stuck on updating. i resotred the wallet and saw that shield had failed and found out that it was evantually shielded and spent immediatly after it while i didnt use the wallet. it look like a hack in the wallet but no one had my keys .i used ai to trace it and it mentioned another 96 wallet had been swapped same time. im waiting for the support to check this.check your activity in the wallet do you see any transaction sent to t1Ssw8…7MR ?
You can set that to whatever you want, really. It is a tool that was used for finding transactions with snap transparent addresses, can’t remember which wallet it was exactly (don’t think it was zodl) but scanning transparent transactions is almost instantaneous.
The wallet also has to fully synchronize from the proper birthday height or earlier, and i’m assuming you did that (takes a while sometimes).
Oh ok. Thank you yeah the funds continue to not be there. Would it have anything to do with the fact that I wasn’t able to move the funds out of the wallet prior to ironwood?
