FYI: last week I wrote the following email to the custodian (Anchorage) legal team (legal@anchorage.com) but no response. Anyone here knows which entity is authorised to instruct unwrapping of WZEC held in custody?
WZEC was issued 1:1 against native ZEC deposited into Anchorage custody for the Wrapped program, with off-chain redemption on burn. Tokensoft, Inc. filed a certificate of dissolution in Delaware on 16 July 2025.
I am requesting processing of a redemption against the reserved ZEC, or a written explanation of why that cannot be done.
Please confirm in writing:
- Whether Anchorage still holds ZEC reserved against outstanding WZEC under the Wrapped / Tokensoft program.
- The legal name of the Anchorage client / account owner of that vault.
- The current written process for a token holder to burn WZEC and receive native ZEC.
- What KYC, documentation, or minimum size you require, if any.
- If Anchorage will not process holder redemptions, who you consider authorized to instruct release of the reserved ZEC, and how holders should direct a claim.
Please treat this as a formal claim of beneficial interest in the reserved ZEC corresponding to 5 WZEC.
Kindly route this to the client-experience or wrapped-assets operations team that historically handled Wrapped redemptions.
