Is Zcash the first cryptocurrency to support both private and public (shielded and transparent) addresses?

Idk if another project had optional obfuscation methods before 2016 but Zcash is the first ever practical implementation of zero knowledge proofs, there may be project with comparable functionality transparent and shielded (especially now with the FATFs regs and also I think “shielded” was probably coined here) that isn’t a fork but I don’t know of any
