Keystone can be used “100% offline” means:
- You can upgrade Keystone’s firmware via microSD card - https://guide.keyst.one/docs/firmware-upgrade#6071cb82f9a14165b3533fb3686fe9fe It’s also worth mentioning that -
- You can download the firmware at least from 2 sources. Our website and our Github. With Ledger, you can only upgrade the firmware through Ledger Live which is a big single point of failure.
- When you upgrade the firmware, you can easily cross-check the checksum of the firmware - https://guide.keyst.one/docs/firmware-checksum
- You don’t need to connect your Keystone to a software wallet through USB/BLE for data transmission. You can take this demo video (of Keystone Gen2) by MetaMask as a reference - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixRIoGfbmTI
- You can even receive your cryptocurrency by showing the QR code of your address on Keystone device itself - https://guide.keyst.one/docs/receiving-cryptocurrency
