I made a native way to send fiat from a zec wallet. It’s similar in idea to Peer but designed for fast offramps (about 10 minutes).

At first I had it moving zec through NEAR intents to Base, and then offramping in Peer. But there were too many fees and bottlenecks. So I built the escrow into a mutlisig contract. Now its direct Zcash to Venmo. Any other platform supported by Peer would also work if it were to get liquidity providers.

Part of a longer term goal, I’ve been thinking how to use zec permissionlessly for everyday payments. Currently researching a way to extend Zpay to Shopify and Paypal for online checkouts using either TEE attestations or zkTLS. But haven’t finished this feature yet.

> Type their Venmo handle and send ZEC to one address. The coins sit in an escrow on Zcash that only you can refund until zpay pays their Venmo and proves it. They never touch crypto.
