Hi, I did not say Nozy raises red flags, I was generally saying I assume all proposals for money are a scam by default.
My past notes on Nozy:
> NozyWallet - $21k for a “user friendly wallet” is useful and reasonable but I dont see a release. Looking at the repo it looks like a dev wallet not an end user wallet, which is fine and needed but not described correctly. Would need to compile the wallet to check if the wallet works and is actually user friendly to get to a yes (I have not done this)
My current notes on Nozy:
- First thoughts: I don’t want to install a rust repo because they usually require a bunch of dependency debugging that I don’t have time. I wish there was a demo of some sort.
- Second thought: ok I’ll try running the nozy repo in case it works flawlessly
- Well I am pleasantly surprised that the Nozy repo runs on the first try without having to debug rust dependencies.
- The code runs and it generated a seed phrase and universal address. I sent a few zats to it.
- Ok its not yet fully fuctional as `nozy scan` is not a recognized subcommand, so I can’t see if the zats arrived.
- This seems useful if it was functional and did not require compiling everything.
- I’ve not audited any of this so would want other eyeballs on this.
- Parts of this are clearly AI generated so its possible all this code is performative. Needs closer scrutiny.
My suggestions:
- On your proposal, be more clear about what is accomplished and what is aspirational. Provide evidence so voters don’t need to work to figure out if you are real.
- Many voters are not developers or don’t have time to check your code, have a demo available.
- Flesh out the product more so it works as described in the proposal.
- Get community to verify it, use it, and vouch for it. A stronger retroactive proposal has already delighted the community.
- Re-apply when it is in a more completed state.
For this round my vote is `no`

At this stage it seems like a better fit for a Community Grant rather than a Retroactive Grant as it is in an unfinished state.
Supportive of the idea but it needs to be properly diligenced.
