@balajis envisioned network societies.  
Vitalik called for a cypherpunk revival.  
@zooko and other heroes here built the privacy infrastructure.

Today Rafael Castaneda, @Michae2xl and I published a framework connecting all three: anonymous governance, merit-based citizenship, built for Zcash.
