I can’t speak for Jack’s performance within the ZF. My reason for challenging his leadership is what I see as consistent negativity, poor treatment of others and related behaviors.

I’ll take this thread as a chance to re-advertise my low-hanging fruit critique of ZF leadership and poor decision making/ poor broadcasting.

Why is ZF sitting on a huge, stagnant pile of BTC and ETH, during a ZEC price cycle that is creating existential issues.

If hedging is the retort, then I can make this simpler. Hedge into USD. A couple million dollars of BTC and ETH sitting on the treasury at Zcash Foundation is yet another of many poor broadcasting and behavior decisions.

There is a great opportunity this year to take some bold action and to align incentives on the ZF balance sheet to broadcast a full committment to Zcash and ZEC. $2,000,000 even after tax obligations would create a nice portion of capital to deploy for the sake of the ZEC bear market cycle low.

Zooko owes himself (obviously, at his own discretion) something like the path that Jack Dorsey took away from Twitter. Remain prominent and respected, but fully disconnect from the specific platform of old.
