I was supportive of permissive licensing - definitely my default position; but, I personally have found the arguments for BOSL convincing. ZEC holders support the dev fund, the dev fund supports ZEC. Maybe in a year or two we can let the lesser privacy coins and for-profit corporations have the code for free once ZEC has become the dominant cryptocurrency
