Zcash is the first full-node wallet I’ve had any experience with so maybe this is normal but I notice that every time I start zcashd quite some time is spent verifying blocks - even moreso on a slower system that I occasionally use. My concern is that at this point in time the Zcash blockchain is still quite small but what is this processing time going to be like a few months / years down the track?

btw I’m referring to this zcash-cli error soon after starting zcashd:

~$ zcash-cli getinfo
error: {“code”:-28,“message”:“Verifying blocks…”}

The delay I noticed could be attributed to the fact that I’d just upgraded v1.0.1
