After working to create ZGo, our team is applying for a ZCG grant for 2024 to cover enhancements to ZGo as well as new products for the ecosystem:

@pitmutt at the most recent meeting, the [@ZcashGrants](https://forum.zcashcommunity.com/groups/zcashgrants) Committee voted to partially approve this proposal. The approved proposal is for a total of $16,100, which includes $3,500 for hosting, $3,00 for legal services, and $9,600 for ZGo User Support. The committee has requested that you provide quarterly updates via the forum in this thread. ZCG requests that you edit your submitted proposal to meet these specifications. You are also eligible to submit a new, separate proposal for the Zenith Full Node Wallet.

I feel that ZGo is a very powerful tool that from the Zcash ecosystem itself we should all promote more: with meetups, workshops and other forms of dissemination.

# Quarter 2 Update
We were happy to assist in the setup of the [ZecHub Store](https://zechub.store), they are curating some great Zcash gear and you can pay with shielded ZEC.
## Hosting
Some of you may be aware of the [Vultr rights-grabbing updated terms of service](https://mwl.io/archives/23498), and though it seems the [company is back-pedaling](https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2024/03/after-overreaching-tos-angers-users-cloud-provider-vultr-backs-off/) after the backlash, any trust we had with this provider is over. If the last couple of years have shown us anything, is that once these companies take this path, theyโre likely to slip the terms back in quietly in a few months once the uproar subsides.
Because of this, we have been looking for another hosting provider for both ZGo and our other servers with extra care on the review of the terms of use and we have now procured new servers and are now building and migrating our services.
## Maintenance
The hosting situation has delayed our planned upgrade of ZGo to use the latest version of `zcash-haskell` and the regular upgrade of our front-end, however the migration of servers allows us the opportunity to do a full upgrade of our infrastructure and we plan to go live on the new servers in early June.
We will inform the community in the forum and our users directly once we have a date for the cutover to minimize any disruptions.

# Quarter 3 Update
## Maintenance
The ZGo servers were upgraded promptly once the [RegreSSHion bug](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RegreSSHion) was identified and patches released.
## Roadmap
With the progress we have made with [Zenith](https://forum.zcashcommunity.com/t/zenith-full-node-wallet/46523/33), we are preparing for a re-design of ZGo so we can release a new version of the app running on Zebra this fall.
