Good news in regards to ad revenue for BAT just came today.
I might have gotten a brave add today when visiting the ECC’s blog on my phone. Is the ECC’s website already set up for brave adds?
It is a user opt in ad service. after the domain is registered as a brave producer/creator/publisher it would just get a share of ad revenue if the user had opted in.
The publisher and the user visiting the site via brave browser both split the ad revenue 30/70 (domain/visitor).

I realize that, just let the forum know I have experienced this and hopefully contributed some bat to the foundation.
To know if a particular site is set up / verified to receive BAT, open Brave browser, go to the website you want to check, and then click on the triangle icon to the right of the URL.
OK, “not yet verified.” Must have unrelated.
thats why i made this thread to bring it to everyones attentions as funding has been a hot topic lately.
@PhusionPhil I realized that we never closed the loop on this thread: Right now, Brave would be more internal accounting hassle (read: ZF employee time) than it’s worth. If that changes, we’re still open to it, but the question is tabled indefinitely.
thanks for actually responding, theres very little out there from Brave developers and creators to use for budget numbers.
I took the BAT rewards/tips earned from PayWithZ.cash, exchanged BAT to ZEC, and gave 0.1 ZEC to _tm3k’s grant (https://grants.zfnd.org/proposals/2124688348). It’s not much but I imagine the tips will increase now that Brave 1.0 is active. Thanks for all who visit the site
Maybe Brave has accounting hassle. But Brave verified publisher is super easy to setup from a technical perspective, Look at https://creators.brave.com/sign-up
Thanks! Brave shields the users information from publishers and advertisers, so I saw this tip (and the others), but it’s anonymous who gave it.
Zcashfr.io has been accepting donations from Brave Browser users for a couple of months.
We also like to get donations with ZEC zs1rfhz5xa4vhgtsszwzkt7sjzeurvpkzjtqryce3xdmuxxza6a89gad4zspjk4s76qe96xq4mrjtf
Confirmed z and t addresses on the page https://zcashfr.io/a-propos/
But most importantly, we love to continue supporting the French community of Zcash!
Merci à tous
I know its somewhat intangible data, but I just got 226 BAT from a single reward cycle and that is large for me. Says $50 and i earned that in less than a week with a low volume web page or YouTube channel, I am amateur, so imagine that scaled up to users with more than my 2000-6000 subscribers/followers.
I appreciate the support for the French Language. Half of my family speaks it. You from Canada?
That’s awesome, @PhusionPhil . In January, paywithz.cash received 47 BAT (~9-10 dollars). I didn’t withdraw this month because of Uphold’s $3 withdraw fee.
Again, thank you to all who visit the site, and also to everyone who is pushing the ZEC economy forward.
The Zcashfr.io’s contributors and community are from France and Canada. Thank you for your kind support.
Today, out of the blue, Uphold suspended and closed my account I only used Uphold to receive BAT tips to the website, nothing else. The explanation I got was they saw “a potential security risk.”
Oddly, my Uphold account was restored today. Must have been an honest mistake?
