The upcoming app update will rebrand Zashi to Zodl, without impacting the user experience.
It’s a new brand for a new chapter, but everything else stays the same: the wallet, the team behind it, and our commitment to Zcash. We’re moving forward with clarity and purpose, and this change reflects the building momentum.
## What This Means for Zashi Users
There is no action required of you. No need to download a new app, change your seed phrase, or transfer your funds.
- Keep using Zashi as usual
- Zashi app will update to Zodl with the next app update
- No user action required
Over the coming days, you’ll start seeing the Zashi name transition to Zodl across all platforms. That includes the Discord Zashi support channel.

## The Team Behind Zodl
In January of this year, the entire Electric Coin Company (ECC) team, the original creators of Zcash and Zashi, left ECC and formed a new company. We named the company Zcash Open Development Lab (ZODL), and the Zcash flagship wallet—Zodl.
This change was necessary for driving Zcash’s growth and adoption of ZEC without reliance on the Zcash development fund. We are now free of this constraint, and since forming the company, we have not missed a beat. The engineers and product team who spent years advancing Zcash are still here, shipping.

have i missed any updates about how or if the new team will report any financials?
i know under ECC they used to describe funds, spending, etc etc…. i’ve been wondering what ever happed to that 4 million dollar debt obligation to Least Authority for instance.
I also have seen that Zashi, now ZODL, was creating a ton of revenue so to speak as the first money making product in Zcash history! cheers to that btw
Anyway asking for any general stuff about this cause i havent been able to read every forum post like it used to be possible. ever since the big blow up last year this forum is fast and diverse
to the mods if this comment is already answered or fits better in a different thread please move it around

Details about the new structure are sparce, and under this new for-profit structure they may not have the same level of transparency about thier finances.

My funds from my Zodl wallet have dissapeared. I opened the app today and it has dissapeared. But no history transactions and nothing else, just gone.
Is this an on going issue?? What do do??
Please help me.

Please help me resolve this issue.
52.47 ZEC received into Zashi around Oct 10, 2025, via four NEAR Intents withdrawals (31.54, 16.08, 4.53, 0.3192). Balance was visible in the app for months, then showed empty with no transaction history. Seed matches my written backup. Restored into three wallets with birthday at height 0, full scans completed, nothing found — not even the incoming transactions. Zcash block height at time of receipt was around 3.1 million.

Quick search on a block explorer shows that T address has never been used?
Have you tried the seed in another wallet like zkool?

Importing into Zkool will require using the ‘Use internal change’ option when creating the account. Transactions disappearing would indicate the wallet borked and needs restored. There are other wallets you could try as well like zingo and vizor and a few others.
