Zcash Community Grants Meeting Minutes 8/17/2026

Let us try to solve the main problem and put an end to this ongoing struggle.

The problem is that the committee has repeatedly dismissed our work and achievements because they are “online.”
Yet, based on our research, most other funded communities allocate approximately 80% of their budgets to online activities and only around 20% to IRL events.
Even after we organized an IRL event as requested, our proposal was still not approved because we supposedly lack support from other communities! This is another new and unusual requirement that, based on our research, does not appear to have been required from other communities that received funding in the past.

So what exactly is the definition of “support from other communities or community members”?

is this something like that? @zerodartz @artkor

We are not claiming that these people or organizations are saying, “Fund ZcashArabia.” That is not their role, and no other local community grant proposal, as far as we have found, was ever required to first obtain support from other communities.
Rather, these are clear indications that our work is reaching other people within the Zcash ecosystem and that our efforts are being recognized and appreciated by others.

Is this sufficient for the committee to approve our proposal?
