We are releasing version 0343ff0 of the ZavaX Oracle Threat Model and submitting it for iterative auditing discussions with Least Authority today. In PDF form, it’s about 20-30 pages, and it marks a project milestone with our grant from Avalanche Foundation. We had not yet envisioned writing this when we proposed our ZCG grant. However, @ZCG is generously funding the extraordinary help that the Least Authority audit team has given us with revisions.
This is the first time we are releasing the Threat Model publicly, and to clarify, it’s not a threat model for red·bridge but rather for ZavaX Oracle, a three-node permissioned (proof-of-authority) L1 blockchain that runs on the Avalanche Fuji Test Network, and it is a proof-of-concept for red·bridge oracle and red·bridge. We explain its purpose in more detail in the document itself.
I was slow with this update this month because I’ve been heads-down working on these revisions (and some other exciting things that I’ll post about soon). Rest assured, we are moving ahead on multiple fronts.
@aratrika_am has finished her experimentation with FROST for now, and we’ll post a short video describing some of her work this past month later this week.
The Ava Labs dev rel team really stepped up their game with us and made some adjustments to their core L1 launcher so that we can launch our custom L1 (instead of the much more ubiquitous EVM-based L1s that most are launching), and @tamil-reddev is working out the final challenges with them now. Thanks also to @pacu for his ongoing support from the Zcash dev rel side.
It’s so gratifying to see the necessary pieces fall into place. Stay tuned!
Onward!
