Good day, I’m a bit annoyed and don’t know what happened. My node has been running since December, and in all this time I’ve only had one problem. I was always among the top 10 in the leader list, but this month I dropped to 19th place. Now I’m checking and I’m not showing up. Did I do something to cause me to be removed? If anyone can answer, I’d be extremely grateful. My node is “znodo.edgarlenon.xyz:443”. Greetings to all. We didn’t create the node to make a profit, but the fact that it’s not showing up is confusing. It should be running fine, but it’s not appearing…

I imagine they take a snapshot on the 15th to have a picture of how the nodes were performing until the closing time, right? I say this because it’s frustrating that you were at the top leading the event and maintained 100% full-time uptime, but since the date was postponed for unknown reasons, they might end up measuring 10 days later.

Ah.. I understood… I don’t know whether they took a snapshot or not. @emersonian is disappeared, only he knows, you should ask him. But on the date he defined as payout were no payout to winners. He usually posts about that.

Thanks, that’s right, it was active until March 21st. It went down due to a problem with the keys, but the issue has been fixed and we’re still active, contributing to the growth of the great ZCash community… we’re all here to support each other… Cheers!

What’s going on? Half a month and completely ignorance. No news, no updates, just silence.
@emersonian, this is a sign of disrespect for the community.
I’m still running my node, I’m not because of money there, but if you have made commitments, be kind enough to fulfill them.
If you check his Github account you’ll see he is constantly online this month working on some hidden repository, but he can’t find time to come here and do what he committed. Draw your own conclusions.

But why? It looks like that ZEC were lost due the issue he described earlier? Or maybe he decided to put them into his startup? So sad I started my node very late and haven’t got any reward. As I see, maybe will not get at all. No one will get. Strange move of @emersonian towards the community
Forgot? Hm… this is the matter of the responsibility… Even the monitoring stopped working.. the last check 4+ days. My node haven’t been added yet. I only added my node to Nodus.
If he is active in Github, it means that we are not a priority. But at least no info, even a message. This is a bad sign. As usual, when some exchanges close, they usually keep silence some time and then the info become public. Maybe the funds were really stolen due to the issue he mentioned, but as usual this info hasn’t go to public.
The only one left for us is wait, but for what?
Don’t think so. I’m sure that most of miners are motivated to get something back and that’s why then provide their GPUs and ASICs for mining. Here is the same thing. Yes, many of us want ZEC to be distributed, but the motivation goes down doing it for nothing, at least even not compensate a servers cost.
What I see here is either irresponsibility or indifference of @emersonian . There was a conditional agreement, which he himself described and declared to everyone that he would fulfill. But we see that this is not the case. Very sad.
I’ll remind everyone that Emersonian is not getting paid for doing this for the community so please keep it respectful.
@emersonian If for some reason you do need support with this project please reach out. I’m sure some of the community would be willing to help.

Folks running nodes should expect nothing. Remember that running nodes helps the network, the community.
If your expectations are off, you have the freedom to stop but wasting time complaining here is off the mark.
With that said, I am avail to help with tech support as needed, but I wont touch support that involves payment issues.

Hi! Good idea about community self-funding when there’s a wallet holding funds opened for viewing by its viewing key, on which everyone can donate some zec, and once per month it could be distributed among the top N participants.
Anyone can view that address and see when and who got rewarded + all income donations.
I think that it’s possible to make on-chain even without Ethereum smart contract with proofs.
I’ll research this possibility to add such functionality to Nodus
