Yea winzec is the new version Perform a backup Uninstall zcash4win and install winzec Thats it, the existing roaming files will remain ---

Does this still apply? radix42Feb 3 Did you add disabledeprecation=1.0.12 to the file C:\Users\shach\AppData\Roaming\Zcash\zcash.conf because you MUST … looks like it is already added… Nevermind! ---

I reinstall windows on brand new SSD and start with winzec. While waiting synchronization it writes more than 700 GB to SSD for 3-4 hours. Is something wrong with zcashd? Full synchronized blockchain is less than 20GB as i know. Thats unusual, id suggest stop erase and reinstall from the official website portal (You sure thats not ethereum? Its chain is just over 1 TB now which would make sense 790 GB and 75%) ---

It is official verified download Winzec winzec-1.1.0.msi (no ethereum). Windows 10 1804 fresh install. Is behavior of zcashd. I run it on disk D (HDD) with -datadir switch and for rest 25% synchronization it writes about 300 GB more to HDD - total blockchain (blocks directory) size is ~16GB. Time for **electrum wallet** for this coin. ---
