# ZCG gets too much ZEC. Here's our plan to fix that. 🛡️

Absolutely!

I agree that all of this has prompted us to rethink the future of regional communities over the next 5–10 years.

In Latin America, I believe Brazil and Venezuela should lead this initiative (let’s keep in mind that Spanish is the primary language spoken in the region).

And from here in Europe, Spain benefits from excellent, high-speed connections, making it well-positioned to quickly coordinate initiatives or groups with countries in the region.

I am optimistic about the future and believe we can build something interesting.

We shared the Dev Fund taper here as a first look, to hear what you thought. Thank you to everyone who read it, voted and shared feedback, whether you liked the idea or not.

The conversation has moved quickly since then, and **we’ve decided not to take this proposal forward.**

The future of the Dev Fund and ZCG’s treasury is for the community to decide through Zcash’s usual governance process. We’d encourage everyone to stay informed and keep sharing your views. 💬
