Announcement regarding [Zcash Global Lounge 5/17 @ 16:00 UTC](https://discord.gg/zcash) I have coordinated with Ryan, ZCG, and ZF, regarding tomorrow’s planned discussion about Zcash Media in the Global Lounge, and we have collectively decided it would be best to delay the conversation to a later date to ensure impactful outcomes of the meeting.(More details to come). We will keep the Zcash Global Lounge tomorrow focused on ZconV reactions and discussion including announcing the ZconV Zclips contest winners, prizes, showing some clips, and hearing from community members about their ZconV experience. Check out this forum post to see all the Zpages, submissions, etc… We had 23 community members submit 667 Clips. ## How much of ZconV did you really see? 👀 🦓 🌎 🌍 🌏 ![discord.gg/zcash](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/zcash/original/3X/4/f/4fa3f24bdeef3bddc4191f38a376e82ed117ce80.jpeg) > _What is this wild scene from the epic community livestream of **ZconV: Zcash Unified**?_ A discord.gg/zcash channel showing 3 windows: The vanilla ZconV livestream on YouTube, a terminal window generating live English transcription of the ZconV stream (white text) and a second terminal with live translation of the English transcript into German (green text). ### Especially dope to note: Transcription and translation are running locally. Meaning … this can all be done offline!! 💪 🦓 🛡 If you were watching on YouTube, I feel bad for you, some. Zcash has got a lot of problems but localization ain’t one. _Credit where credit’s due:_ @Autotunafish @robmarn @vito … these are the av club creators you should be watching, among many others, if you’re into this kind of stuff ---

I watched it on YouTube and was asking where are the questions coming from, there’s no chat. Absolute dumbo lol. ---

YouTube comments and chat are just notoriously horrible. Messages posted there affect how YouTube promotes (or controls) the channel and its videos. Like, algorithm and stuff. So it does require constant attention. The way i would prefer, and what we’re working towards, each community streams the broadcast to their own space(s), implementing localization, creating more custom content, and then share back out to the broader audience. All in real time. The [Zcon4 and ZconV livestreams](https://www.youtube.com/@zcashesp/streams) by @robmarn, to several places, are a taste of this in action: [![](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/zcash/original/3X/6/c/6cb34cae516bd57d86d119547f9f8c7946ea3eb0.jpeg "Emisión en directo de Zcash en Español") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNpQOxFJ0zY) ZF (or whoever is running the show) needs a single place to take questions and pass them to people who are on camera. ZF chose Whova. Then, there was at least one person in each community taking questions from their space and sharing them in Whova. i regret that ZconV was not also streamed to ZkAv or Zechub, on Youtube, where we could have had the chat enabled, with someone to pass questions and watch for hate speech, etc. These two communities were hard at work, mostly in discord.gg/zcash and on Free2z. ZconV was the first opportunity to start implementing Zk Av Club ideas which will ultimately make these virtual conferences into global interactive livestream events. We gotta start somewhere. **Director’s note:** icymi, the Zk Av Club hosted a [ZconV Day 3 Preshow](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aI0lo1xP58) where @robmarn implemented his live transcription + translation process for real-time cross-language communication, in a livestreamed broadcast. This is seriously straight outta science fiction, yo! [Previous page](https://forum.zcashcommunity.com/t/zconv-may-6th-10th-2024/47261.md?page=3)
