![Zodl on Google Play main](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/zcash/original/3X/c/c/cc2c5aa1a0e96e346a60e74c226aa17e60beb9e4.png)

[Last week](https://forum.zcashcommunity.com/t/zodl-is-live-on-app-store/54818), we rebranded Zashi to Zodl on the Apple App Store. Today, Zodl is live on Google Play.

If you use Zashi on Android, update the app to see the new name and icon.

Zodl is the next chapter for the Zcash wallet you’ve known as Zashi, developed by the same engineers and product team who built and maintained it from the start. In January of this year, the entire Electric Coin Company (ECC) team, the original creators of Zcash and Zashi, left ECC and formed a new company. We named the company Zcash Open Development Lab (ZODL).

The ZODL team will continue building and maintaining the flagship Zcash wallet under the new brand.

## **What’s New**

- Zashi is now Zodl on Android

- Swap and CrossPay UI improvements

- A range of bug fixes and user-reported issues

Rebranding work for F-Droid, GitHub, and the Solana dApp Store is next. We’ll announce those updates as they go live.

More to come.

Onward.

Hey! Just opened issue [[Add Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR) translation · Issue #2203 · zodl-inc/zodl-android · GitHub](https://github.com/zodl-inc/zodl-android/issues/2203)] proposing a complete pt-BR translation for the Android app, 922 strings across 51 modules, mirroring the existing values-es/ structure. Glossary applied (Zcash protocol terms kept in English, UI translated). Static + visual QA passed locally on redroid. Waiting on the green light before opening the PR.
