Lets talk about RandomX Monero CPU POW mining algo

We can also talk about merge mining

We could be extra nice and give asic miners 1 year grace period
what is everyone thought about that
I think it is clear that it was a mistake to not pursue ASIC resistance, but I am unsure whether it is worth it to try to get back to GPU/CPU mining at this point. I think I’d rather just spend resources on moving to pure proof of stake as fast as possible.
i still think we should have a censorship resistance backup as cpu/gpu mining
what if pos have some issues
we could fall back with a simple hardfork back to cpu/gpu merge mining
Agreed, and I say this as a Vertcoin lover (Which has a one-click-miner) .

Some Devs & Vets & Cryptographers should give their opinions too
About having a grace period of 1 year ASIC mining the switching to CPU/GPU Popular options or merge mining as backup with hybrid POS
option to have backup censorship-resistance & anonymity function in POW if some POS hiccup comes along the way
“standard gpu” “zcash” who is coping that much or what are they even smoking lol
My primary reaction here is that with limited resources, it’s hard to see how we could afford both a PoW mining transition along with the TFL/PoS transition.
With the TFL design, the PoS layer will provide “fast finality” atop the PoW layer. It’s not clear yet what the correct economic design is for this, but it’s intended as a stepping stone that will allow an eventual transition to full PoS.
As time goes on, the industry as a whole is getting more and more confident in PoS; it’s the de-facto standard for new projects these days. I don’t think that there’s a tremendously strong argument to keep PoW around as a “backup”; with TFL it will be a part of the transition, but it can eventually just go away.
we don’t have to afford cup/gpu mining right now we could give grace period of 1 year to ASIC miners then slowly switch to TFL with cpu/gpu merge mining common algo from other projects and have hybrid POS system too for research work
