Proposal: Zcash Global Ambassador Nigeria
Background
I’m Elzz, a content strategist and researcher. I’ve been active in Web3 for 5+ years, with a focus on content creation, community engagement and simplifying complex blockchain ideas for wider audiences. I first built experience in the Solana ecosystem, where I saw how strong communities grow when there are clear voices that translate the tech into something everyone can understand.
I proceeded to use this experience in Ice Open Network, Star Tower Chain and SonicSVM, building strong communities with content and space hosting.

Over the past few months, I’ve shifted my energy into the Zcash ecosystem. I’ve been present in community calls, active on Discord and creating content that highlights Zcash’s mission and technology on twitter and medium. This has already led to recognition from some core members of the community like Josh Swithart and Zooko. This is the foundation I want to build on as an ambassador.
Motivation
Zcash is a project with one of the strongest value propositions in crypto: privacy, but the way it’s often communicated can feel closed-off to newcomers. I believe adoption grows when people understand and people understand when the message is clear, simple and relatable.
That’s where I come in. As an ambassador, my motivation is to be a bridge: between technical depth and everyday language, between developers and the broader crypto audience and between Zcash and new regions like Nigeria, where the conversation around privacy is still only beginning.
What I Will Contribute as Ambassador
Content: Create consistent, beginner-friendly content (threads, articles, visuals) that break down Zcash’s technology, updates and ecosystem activity in accessible ways.
Community Voice: Host regular discussions and spaces focused on engaging both developers and non-technical community members.
Onboarding: Actively welcome and guide newcomers, helping them find their place in the ecosystem. Also use my access to blockchain developers in my region to influence building on Zcash.
Regional Presence: Represent Zcash in Nigeria, where crypto adoption is growing rapidly but privacy narratives are underrepresented.
Impact
With me as an ambassador, Zcash gains:
A consistent, public-facing voice that makes privacy approachable.
Increased engagement through regular content and community conversations.
Stronger onboarding for new members in my region who need clarity, not just technical detail.
Representation in a region with huge growth potential for crypto adoption.
Onboarding of blockchain devs and builders in my region into the Zcash ecosystem.

Success Metrics/KPIs
1. Reach & Visibility
Achieve at least 10,000 tweet impressions per month from Zcash-related content.
Maintain steady month-over-month growth in engagement (likes, retweets, comments).
2. Engagement & Community Connection
Host 2 Twitter Spaces per month, maintaining at least 50 unique listeners on average.
Get meaningful engagement (comments, questions, retweets) from known figures or active community members in the Zcash ecosystem.
Build an active base of users who consistently reply, quote, or engage with my Zcash content.
3. Education & Awareness
Publish 3 educational threads/articles per month simplifying Zcash topics (privacy, shielded txs, zk proofs, etc.).
Measure audience sentiment (through replies, comments, polls) showing that more users understand and can explain Zcash concepts after my content and Spaces.
4. Ecosystem Impact
Drive at least 10 new users per month to try a Zcash wallet or send their first shielded transaction.
Help increase mentions of Zcash across crypto discussions and communities outside its usual circles.
5. Reporting & Accountability
Provide monthly progress updates (impressions, engagement, event highlights).
Submit a 3-month summary report with key metrics, screenshots and learnings for potential program renewal.
Conclusion
I’m already doing the work, showing up, creating content and connecting with the Zcash community. As an ambassador, I will take that to the next level with consistency, visibility and dedication to the Zcash mission.
