Bare with me I am new to this and just today, taught myself to install a dual boot linux and setup the test network.

As of right now I am running the miner, what typical time frame does it take to find a block? I also used the test faucet to receive TAZ however 20 mins later, nothing has arrived when i checked the balance. I just want to make sure I am doing this right for launch?

It looks like you have everything setup properly. That alert is just part of a test that was being conducted, nothing to worry about.

As far as time to find a block it depends on a few factors like your hardware, and the network difficulty and a little luck. Some people get lucky and find a block in minutes, others can mine for hours and not find a block. If the difficulty is very high it can be like winning the lottery.
