Getting: "Host not found (authoritative)" on zcash miner

Hi, I am pretty new to this stuff. Using my iMac computer and zcash miner software. I have everything setup but when I try to connect to the server I’m getting the following:

[23:48:00][0x000070000feda000] stratum | resolve: Host not found (authoritative)
[23:48:00][0x000070000feda000] stratum | Reconnecting in 3 seconds…
[23:48:03][0x000070000feda000] stratum | Connecting to stratum server stratum+tcp://zec-us.suprnova.cc:2142
[23:48:03][0x000070000feda000] stratum | resolve: Host not found (authoritative)
[23:48:03][0x000070000feda000] stratum | Reconnecting in 3 seconds…
[23:48:06][0x000070000feda000] stratum | Connecting to stratum server stratum+tcp://zec-us.suprnova.cc:2142
[23:48:06][0x000070000feda000] stratum | resolve: Host not found (authoritative)
[23:48:06][0x000070000feda000] stratum | Reconnecting in 3 seconds…

Can anyone suggest how to fix this?

Yeah!! I found my own answer.
I use zec-us.suprnova.cc:2142 instead of stratum+tcp://zec-us.suprnova.cc:2142

Good to see you resolved the above but can’t imagine you’ll be running it for long if you’re in it for gains

And why is that? Cause I’ll probably only make 0.05 USD a week?

I’m just in it for the fun. Not expecting much.

Just it’ll most likely be costing you more to mine than what you yield per week, when accounting for sol count, watt draw and kwh.
When stable launched the 50 cents to 1 usd a week with an old desktop/laptop was viable and for fun I could see the attraction, now not so much: Zcash (ZEC) Mining Profit Calculator - WhatToMine
You’d be better off buying 40 usd worth of zec off an exchange and letting that sit than paying 40 usd for 20 usd worth of zec from one year of mining.

Uh, hate to bring a further downer to your fun but if its an older iMac - even some of the newer peak at 200+ - and maxes out @ above 365 watts, seeing as mining is a high resource process, it could be costing you even more than what had previously been expected - http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/1671-69-electricity-bill-inch-imac-running
