Hello! Welcome! I saw your message and will forward it to the developers so we can respond. Can you send me your signal in a private message?
i want a public response please, too many scams these days. If we go private message i ask for proof of legitimacy
Okay, that makes sense.
@1337bytes please take a look
okay i have talked to jaysurovy on discord. It appears this Zcash plugin is unofficial so i ll uninstall it.
The plugin is written by zcash community members under a grant from the ZCG. It is as “official” as one can be.
It looks like it is misconfigured. @1337bytes should be able to help you with that.
Another blog post so you can verify that the plugin is official.
Nick merged only official plugins to their BTCPayServer repo, and nothing unofficial can get into their store. If you had some problems, we will be happy to solve them. We have tested various configurations, but if errors occur with any part that is not typical, this is normal practice in open source development - and all errors are fixable. Currently, we have at least four known merchants that accept Zcash use this plugin.
okay great thank you for your answer. I would love to make it work. As far as i know, My BTCPay server is up and running (BTC, XMR, Exolix payments all work and tested).
I just installed Zcash plugin and restarted the server. Now i get 502 Bad gateway, and those are the llogs. I dont know how to change ZEC configuration since i cant access the VM anymore.
Thank you for providing more details. I hope our developer will be able to connect shortly. He has already been informed about this issue.
Hi, apologies for the late reply. I followed you and sent a DM on Twitter, easier to debug with direct messaging. You can verify the Twitter on my GitHub profile.
The error means that at least one of these environment variables is missing: zec_daemon_uri, zec_wallet_daemon_walletdir or zec_wallet_daemon_walletdir. Maybe the Docker fragment isn’t being generated correctly, did you set this env variable export BTCPAYGEN_CRYPTO1="zec" (where 01 is the index of the last added coin + 1) together with . ./btcpay-setup.sh -i?
If you share your generated Docker Compose privately (can redact non-zcash related sections) that would help to debug further.
Hey everyone,
I noticed that this old thread was getting comments again.
@Coincart’s problem seems to have been resolved, according to their tweet here saying they’re offering ZEC.
Details on this plugin can always be found here.
Furthermore,@artkor says there are now 7 merchants using the BTCPay Zcash module. Which is great; I’m so glad that the BTCPay Zcash module got fixed.
