At ZCG’s request I made some revisions to my proposal. The new github issue is here.
Major revisions: Rebalanced the crypto vs adult industry events to put a greater emphasis on the adult industry events where there is the greatest opportunity for outreach to these often de-banked communities. Scaling back the number of mainstream crypto events, as well as adding a small stipend for the team to attend a Zcash-focused event to share our findings and connect with the Zcash developer community.
The event ratio for the year:
- 4 Crypto/tech events
- 5 Adult industry events
- 8 Weekend workshop
My strategy is to slowly build trust, reputation in the space while increasing the size of the activation are each event. This is a systemic approach to expanding into this space with intentionality, partners and slow-building trust.
The new costing is $550,000, down from $588,000.
We choose to keep Blockchain.RIO as a potential event for next year in LATAM because we see growing momentum there. PGZ’s current grant includes expanding into this space, as well as collaborations with Zcash Brazil already working in this region. This could be an opportunity for a unified collaborative effort.
