Project Description
Houdini Swap is a leading non-custodial, cross-chain liquidity aggregator supporting over 80 networks, 4000 tokens and 8 million possible pairs, combining DEXs, bridges, and non-custodial centralized providers into a single easy-to-use interface. Additionally a significant product upgrade is being launched shortly, combined with extensive, broad-scale marketing, which will position it as the front-end of crypto.

Compliant Private Swaps: Compliant private swaps that prevents the receiver from identifying the sender’s wallet address and so protecting their critical financial data, while also meeting the compliance requirements of regulatory authorities, and specifically in the United States and Europe.

No Wallet Connect Cross-Chain Swaps: Cross-chain swaps that do not require the user to connect their wallet and so maximizing their transactional security.

Each privately listed token benefits from up to 12 additional exchange listings with Houdini Swap’s non-custodial exchange partners, who represent the biggest and most credible in the industry.

Proposed Problem
There is a strong disconnection in the market between different blockchains and assets, especially those with complex architectures like Zcash. This prevents users from easily performing cross-chain swaps between networks and assets, making the user onboarding process into a new chain more complicated.
Proposed Solution
HoudiniSwap utilizes a hybrid architecture for cross-chain transactions, combining both centralized and decentralized finance solutions. This enables users to exchange cross-chain assets while optionally choosing between different routing options:
- optional anonymous swap
- standard cross-chain swap
- swap without wallet connection
We plan to integrate the Zcash chain into our architecture across all three levels, allowing Zcash users to seamlessly move assets using the most convenient options. In the long term, this will significantly simplify user onboarding and accelerate adoption of the Zcash ecosystem.

Technical Approach
Success Metrics
We will measure the success of the project by tracking the availability and usage of Zcash (ZEC) on Houdini across the following cross-chain swap options:
- Standard cross-chain swaps – via DeFi-level integration using the Near Intent API
- Private swaps – leveraging centralized liquidity
- Swaps without wallet connection – using centralized liquidity
Additionally, we can implement a dashboard to monitor key metrics, including swap volume on the Zcash chain and the number of active users engaging with ZEC swaps.
