Introducing ZecForge: Building the Distribution Layer for Privacy
Introduction
Zcash has some of the strongest privacy technology in the industry. Yet much of the conversation around privacy remains concentrated within technical and ecosystem-native circles.
If privacy is to reach mainstream users, the conversation cannot remain inside developer communities alone. It must reach creators, students, entrepreneurs, local communities, and everyday people in formats they already consume and understand.
The challenge is not simply producing educational content, it’s ensuring that content travels.
A single article, video, infographic, or tutorial can only go so far when distributed from a single channel. Adoption requires distribution through many voices, communities, formats, languages, and audiences.
Technology alone does not drive adoption.
Education helps people understand technology.
Distribution helps education reach people.
We believe distribution is one of the missing pieces in the journey from technology to adoption.
This belief is what led to the creation of @ZecForge
What is ZecForge?
@ZecForge is a creator forge for the Zcash ecosystem focused on three core functions:
- Onboarding creators into the Zcash ecosystem
- Developing creators through training and collaboration
- Distributing privacy-focused content across diverse audiences and platforms
Our goal is to forge creators who are privacy-literate, aligned with the values of Zcash, and highly skilled in their craft.
We work with writers, designers, video creators, artists, memers, educators, AI creators and other creative contributors who can help communicate the value of privacy in ways that resonate with people beyond traditional crypto circles.
Why ZecForge Exists
The Zcash ecosystem already benefits from incredible builders, researchers, educators, and community contributors.
Organizations like ZecHub have done an outstanding job creating educational resources and making knowledge about Zcash more accessible.
However, creating content and distributing content are not the same thing.
Educational content creates understanding, but distribution creates reach.
A valuable piece of content can only travel as far as the channels available to distribute it.
We believe the ecosystem can benefit from a dedicated network of creators capable of taking privacy narratives beyond existing audiences and into new communities, new formats, and new regions.
Our focus is not simply content creation, our focus is building the people who can carry these narratives further.
Our Vision
Our vision is to develop a global network of privacy-literate creators capable of translating complex ideas into stories, videos, graphics, educational content, memes, local-language content, and community-driven narratives that reach people far beyond the existing crypto audience.
We believe privacy should not be understood only by developers or the tech-savvy. It should be understood by students, creators, small business owners, families, anyone who values the ability to choose what information they share and with whom.
For that to happen, privacy needs storytellers.
Supporting the Broader Ecosystem
While our initial focus is on Zcash, we believe every project building within the ecosystem faces a similar challenge.
Building is not enough. People need to understand what has been built, why it matters, and how it improves their lives.
Our long-term ambition is for @ZecForge to become a distribution layer for the broader Zcash ecosystem, helping projects reach wider audiences through skilled creators and community-led storytelling.
Current Stage
@ZecForge is currently operating as a pilot initiative.
We are actively testing systems, onboarding creators, running workshops, building community processes, and refining our model before pursuing long-term funding and ecosystem support.
Our goal during this phase is:
To validate that a creator-focused onboarding, development, and distribution network can become a meaningful contributor to the growth of the Zcash ecosystem.
Looking Ahead
We are still early. We are learning, experimenting and we are building in public.
We look forward to sharing our progress, learning from others in the ecosystem, and collaborating with community members who share the belief that privacy adoption requires not only great technology, but also great communication.
