Memo Bundles (ZIP-231) propose a way to make Zcash memos more expressive and scalable, reducing the amount of required on-chain storage while also supporting richer application workflows and preserving core privacy properties.
In this Office Hours, Kris Nuttycombe (@nuttycom) will walk through what Memo Bundles are, why they matter, and what they enable for wallets and app developers.
We’ll also zoom out to the economics of “on-chain storage” more broadly: what data belongs on-chain, how long it should live there, how (and when) we can prune history, and how we might think about charging for block space over both the short and long term.
The event will be held on the Zcash Global Discord.
