The position on the trademark is related to the dev fund, which is related to governance and decentralization. I posted my personal views on that last July as I was leaving ECC.
Since the beginning of the year, much work and discussion have gone into the trademark agreement, funding bloc design, and dev fund decision, in addition to critical and significant changes within ECC and necessary pre-work. Many of these changes and positions needed Bootstrap BoD involvement and would not have been appropriate for Zeboot or in any way related to things like BOSL or Zashi.
