Hello everyone from all over the world, we are a team of college students from Shanghai, and we are posting here to increase the popularity of our project and seek valuable experience and help!

I am the project leader, an undergraduate majoring in chemistry, and will be pursuing a Ph.D. next year. Our project also has many cooperation members in software engineering chemistry and biotechnology, as well as two laboratories and several master’s and doctoral students to help.

First of all, I would like to introduce the inspiration and purpose of this project: a year ago, during my study in a scientific research laboratory, I found that many scientific research projects are not open. Although there is nothing wrong with the issue of interests, many students do not receive the necessary help and support at the beginning of their scientific research careers, and many laboratories do not have the conditions to carry out some experiments, as well as the conditions of repeated failures, which cause huge waste of time and money.So I started looking for platforms that provide social and reward functions for researchers, but the help provided by the websites on the market is very limited, basically applying for funding, voting, and issuing virtual currency, which cannot serve ordinary graduate students and scientific researchers.

So I contacted some classmates in relevant majors, hoping to get help for me. At first, I planned to develop a research social networking platform exclusively for chemical students. It will provide problem rewards, scientific research data authentication, and various scientific research tools, including NMR prediction programs and automatic spectral analysis, to help novice scientific researchers, as well as a platform for scientific researchers from all over the world to communicate and socialize.

A few days ago, I submitted an application for funding, but the project was canceled because I had to go to another city, so I decided to re-plan the proposal. Because we are a student team, we do not have any startup capital, and another developer will suspend the development of the project due to the pressure of upgrading.

I will be fully honest: if I was part of the ZCG committee, or well, any committee, the fact that you missed a simple request to post on the forum properly by Alex is a huge red flag. If you cannot follow through because of ANY personal reason without proper notification, in an ecosystem where KYC is not even required, and your credibility is already zero (new user!), naturally, people will never trust you to be reliable, especially not for a 4-figure grant.

The second issue being your major has no relevance to this work yet you keep mentioning it. It actively harms you, since the first thing people see is “applied chemistry”, connect it with software, and bam, instant negative impression in this field.

The third, and final issue being that this project has no fundamental relevance to Zcash. Accepting and moving payments through Zcash is handled by the projects developed by other grantees, such as BTCPayServer, librustzcash, and WebZjs (by Chainsafe). You should use them, I don’t see any reason Zcash should fund your platform, unless it has some primary relevance to Zcash.

Thanks！Very fair and accurate criticism. I think the main reason is that I didn’t clearly introduce our project. Maybe for you, the project is too simple and early-stage. I will make improvements based on the feedback you gave, especially for the third issue. As I mentioned, we initially underestimated the professionalism required for the application, and we just wanted to get more feedback at the early stage of the project, not to exaggerate that our project couldn’t achieve the final goal. Obviously, this wasn’t the right place to post such things. I understand, and I will delete the posts and any traces . I hope our actions haven’t affected anyone’s normal work or good mood.

it’ll be best to forget about anything chemistry for now and focus on helping your team members and other community dudes on doing proper research (research education) on financial privacy. This i guess should foster interest to zcash
