Ren 1.0 being sunset - bridge renZEC to native ZEC as soon as possible

Hey everyone, an announcement from the Ren team:

We recently posted an update regarding how Ren will move forward from the Alameda bankruptcy: Moving on from Alameda. Early last year, Alameda acquired Ren… | by Ren Community | Ren Project | Nov, 2022 | Medium

In short, to protect the integrity of the project and the safety of users of Ren, the Ren 1.0 network will be sunset, and we aim to launch a fully community-controlled network, Ren 2.0, as soon as possible.

The process has begun with mints being disabled now, while burns remain enabled until mid-December.

For users who hold assets such as renZEC, you should immediately bridge those back to native ZEC, as we cannot guarantee that the 2.0 network will be compatible with the current 1.0 network. If you know someone who holds renZEC, please alert them to this!

We aim to come back stronger, with a fully decentralized and community-owned cross-chain network.

If you have any questions I’ll be ready to answer! :v:
