Slightly noob question about launch

I’ve been mining new coins for years but sadly I’ll be out of town for Halloween weekend for this launch.

My question is can I set up the wallet and miners on mainnet now? My hope is that they would just idle or something until launch and then begin mining/syncing.

Any advice?

EDIT:
I just saw that there are already pools available. I will contact pool owners if they will switch their ports to mainnet… I think that’s my best bet.

You can just send your hash power now to the pool and they will do whatever is needed on launch.

No need to worry.

They will switch from testnet to mainnet (smooth experience)

Slow start mining makes it non-urgent to start right away fyi.
