I advocate for the Community + Coin Holder Funding Model, which aligns funding and coin holder​​ economic incentives but allows a veto for implementing undesirable changes

In this model:

• 8% of the block rewards will be allocated to the ZCG for grants by and for the Zcash Community.
• 12% of the block rewards will continue to accrue in the lockbox. Coin holders will determine how and when those funds are allocated. They may fund larger grant submissions, channel them to the NSM (Network Sustainability Fund), or leave the coins at rest.

I want to remind the commuinity the Hybrid Deferred Dev Fund was temporary and not suppose to be extended. As I’ve already stated:

Speaking for myself, I agree that we should allocate all dev funds post Nov into the lockbox, but I also think NU7 should activate on time. If the current dev fund runs out prioritizing NU7, this is a consequence of priorities. Move forward.

Now is not the time to kick the can and get more of the same. We need to follow through with what the community wanted:

a new non-direct funding model that aligns the funding of Zcash work with the wishes of the community.

Send everything to the Lockbox until we can decide.
