In order to fully debate the future of the block reward/ ecosystem funding, we need the freedom to discuss our beliefs about the current/ future value of ZEC.
Why? Because the block reward model in a very large part depends on ZEC.

Not to mention, tripling the block rewards, risks creating a huge Zcash brand perception problem. It will make “us” look like “we” decided to triple our salaries (at the expense of miners, who are providing critical network security and decentralization services)
lol at focusing at dollar value as a reason to give 60% to dev fund… if you don’t increase or cease the dev fund, then you need much more %, because the price of ZEC will skyrocket.
I support the idea of giving some % to orchard pool holders => miners won’t dump => people will speculate more => price appreciation => devs have more $ in ZEC even if their ZEC holding stays the same.
