Hi everyone :waving_hand:

I’ve just posted my Zcash Community Grants proposal for The Social Mask, a platform to help journalists and citizens share sensitive information safely and without censorship. We plan to enable anonymous tipping and, next, shielded ZEC support—aligned with Zcash’s privacy mission.

  • A supportive comment if you think this adds value to the ecosystem, or
  • A quick constructive note with specific suggestions (risks, milestones, metrics, security, UX).

Specific questions where your feedback helps most:

  1. Which Phase-1 deliverables would you prioritize to maximize value to Zcash?
  2. What adoption/impact metrics would you like to see in the first 3–4 months?
  3. Any recommendations on security/opsec for handling sensitive reports?

I didn’t dig too deep into the proposal but it seems interesting. Everything that tries to decentralize information/social medias is welcomed as they all seem to be engaged in a very slippery slope lately (see X for example that wants to attach a little nation state flag to your profile to make sure you are easily identifiable).

You are right, and thank you very much for your feedback. I sincerely think that even though it may seem private, it has quite a few things that are handled behind the scenes.
