On July 20, the committee explicitly asked us to organize an IRL event and some said that once we did so, they would be willing to change their view and support us
And yet, despite the fact that the committee has largely overlooked the positive results we have achieved online, when you look at other community initiatives funded by ZCG, you will find that roughly 80% of their work is conducted online, while only around 20% consists of IRL events. This alone demonstrates that online community building is meaningful work and is already recognized and funded by ZCG.
Nevertheless, we organized an IRL event and paid for it out of our own pockets.
Then today, you acknowledge that we addressed the concerns raised and demonstrated that we can deliver.
And yet, in the end, the proposal is rejected!!
This explains the ongoing struggle we have faced with the ZCG committee for the past three months, we address every concern, and the committee itself acknowledges that, yet in the end, the proposal is rejected!
What more are we supposed to do? Can anyone help us resolve this issue, which has unfortunately become extremely difficult?
Good, so the issue is not the value of our work or our ability to deliver? but simply that ZCG does not currently have enough funding to support us?
