Zcash Dev Summit in Sofia, Bulgaria on March 22, 2025

The Zcash Foundation invites developers from the Zcash ecosystem to join us for an engaging technical Dev Summit on Saturday March 22, 2025 in Sofia, Bulgaria, followed by an optional day for informal collaboration.

This summit is exclusively intended for developers, and will provide an opportunity to connect with fellow Zcash developers, fostering meaningful discussions and innovation within the community.

The event is timed to complement a week dedicated to cryptography, being co-located with ZKProof7, HACS and Real World Crypto (RWC 2025). This is a prime opportunity to explore cutting-edge developments in zero-knowledge proofs and cryptographic advancements.

There is no fee to attend. Attendees are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their own travel and accommodations.

Key details are available on the registration application. Please fill out the registration application form to express your interest in attending the Zcash Dev Summit. We will follow up with you to extend an official invitation and request confirmation of your attendance. Space is limited so we recommend completing this form as soon as possible.

Don’t miss this chance to network, learn, and collaborate at the forefront of privacy-focused technology! For questions or concerns please contact the Zcash Foundation devsummit@zfnd.org.

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of clash between the dates of these events:

Date Events
March 22 Zcash Dev Summit
March 23 Zcash informal collaboration HACS day 1 ZKProof 7 day 1 (Kickoff & Keynotes)
March 24 RWPQC HACS day 2 ZKProof 7 day 2 (Identity, TLSNotarization, zkLogin, …)
March 25 HACS “hack day” ZKProof 7 day 3 (zkEVM Formal Verif., Verified Verifier, PLONK standard)
March 26-28 RWC

I’m not criticising ZF here, since the main cause of overlap is ZKProof 7 being on the same days as HACS. Experiencing a lot of FOMO right now though (as will @str4d I think). HACS days 1 and 2 will take priority if I’m invited.

(Since I’m involved in the PLONK standardization, I might end up going to that instead of the HACS hack day I guess, but honestly pitting those two against each other sucks, because it’s the same audience.)

ZKProof7 will be in sync with HACS
we’re very happy everyone will be in Sofia, there’s a lot to learn and do.
