Zcash Nigeria – Monthly Activity Report (May 2025)

Overview

In the month of May, Zcash Nigeria continued its mission to expand awareness, education, and community engagement around Zcash in Nigeria. Our activities focused on social media growth, content localization, community participation, and preparatory work for on-ground engagement.

Key Activities

1. Social Media Management & Community Engagement

  • We actively managed the @ZcashNigeria Twitter account, ensuring a consistent posting schedule with localized content tailored to the Nigerian audience.

  • Our strategy involved:

Content Creation – Article Publication

We published a well-researched educational article titled “How to Sell Zcash (ZEC) Successfully on P2P – A Complete Guide” on Medium, tailored to the Nigerian and broader African audience.

The article serves as a practical guide for users seeking to exchange ZEC using peer-to-peer (P2P) platforms, especially in regions where centralized exchanges may be limited or inaccessible. It provides step-by-step instructions on:

  • Setting up Zcash-compatible wallet

  • Best practices for P2P trading in Nigeria.

  • Tips for maintaining privacy and avoiding scams.

  • Choosing the right platforms and communities to trade ZEC safely.

This piece aligns with our mission to empower users with knowledge on how to use Zcash effectively, especially in economies facing currency instability, financial surveillance, and cross-border payment restrictions.

Status:

  • Article published and actively being shared across our social media platforms.

  • Currently promoting the guide in community forums and chats to onboard new users.

Zealy Sprint Campaign.

  • On May 24th, 2025, we launched a Zealy sprint campaign aimed at expanding our community and, more importantly, enhancing ongoing engagement among existing members. The campaign is scheduled to run from May 24th to June 11th. As of the time of this report, 51 participants have already joined and are actively completing tasks for a chance to win a share of the 4 ZEC prize pool allocated for this round.

Progress:

  • Campaign currently ongoing.

  • Initial response has been positive with increasing user engagement.

Local Language Translation

Meetup Planning – June Activation

  • Planning underway for a physical Zcash Meetup Event to be held in June.

  • Activities will include:

    • Introduction to Zcash.and onboarding into zcash community

    • Zashi wallet installations

    • Q&A sessions, networking and feedback collection

    • giveaways

Summary & Next Steps

May marked a productive month for Zcash Nigeria, with visible progress made in digital engagement, content development, and community activation planning. We remain committed to fostering Zcash adoption in Nigeria by leveraging local culture, languages, and platforms.

Key Priorities for June:

  • Execute the planned meetup.

  • Finalize and publish Yorùbá-translated contents.

  • Conclude Zealy sprint and reward top participants.

  • Continue social media growth and user education.

  • Well researched articles for education

  • Onboard a business to start accepting zec as a form of payment and service
