We’ve had a successful period over the past three months and managed to build a solid community foundation. In the upcoming period, we aim to take the community to the next level. With the approaching summer season, we’ll be engaging in various active initiatives, especially crypto events. You can check out the details here.
Project’s Purpose and Goals:
This project aims to introduce Zcash to a wider audience in Turkey, increase awareness of financial privacy, and build a strong Turkish Zcash community. By combining Turkey’s interest in cryptocurrencies with Zcash’s advanced privacy technology, we aim to make people aware of this innovative project and encourage its adoption.
Our Goals:
Creating Awareness: Educating individuals in Turkey about financial privacy and Zcash technologies.
Education and Content Creation: Providing comprehensive information through social media, YouTube, blogs, and events.

Proposed Problem
The primary challenge this project aims to address is the lack of awareness and understanding of financial privacy and Zcash’s innovative technology in Turkey. Despite the growing interest in cryptocurrencies, most individuals in Turkey remain unaware of privacy-focused solutions like Zcash, which could empower them to manage their finances securely and privately.
Additionally, there is a noticeable gap in localized resources, educational content, and community-driven initiatives about Zcash in Turkey. Without these, potential users cannot fully grasp the benefits of Zcash or feel encouraged to become part of its ecosystem. This gap hinders Zcash’s adoption and limits its visibility in a region with significant cryptocurrency activity.
By addressing these challenges, this project aims to bridge the knowledge gap, foster community engagement, and promote the adoption of Zcash in Turkey.
Proposed Solution
The Zcash Türkiye Team will consist of three members: Batuhan Bulut and TuaMorre.
Awareness and Education Campaigns
To raise awareness about financial privacy and introduce the technological advantages offered by Zcash in Türkiye, we will be creating content for social media and YouTube.
As part of this initiative:
Social Media Content: Eye-catching and informative social media materials will be prepared to highlight financial privacy and the technologies Zcash provides. These materials will be presented in a simple and accessible manner to reach a broad audience.
Educational Series: A series titled “Learning Zcash” will be developed to create a comprehensive and easy-to-understand knowledge base for individuals who are new to the crypto world or seeking fundamental information.
Our ongoing efforts continue. I’d like to include a forum link to provide access to all resources in one place.
The YouTube video series will continue weekly on a regular basis until all foundational resources are created. These videos will serve as a reference to build a knowledge library, ensuring a continuous flow of information for many years. Once the foundational resources are complete, we will start including our commentary, providing updates and developments about Zcash to the audience every week.
Social Media Campaign:
Regular informative visuals and video posts about Zcash will be shared daily on Twitter and Instagram. Additionally, three YouTube Shorts videos will be uploaded weekly to create a resource accessible to those who may not watch full-length YouTube videos.Examples include:Educational posts: Highlighting Zcash’s privacy features and benefits.Short videos: Quick tips or updates about Zcash to engage viewers on-the-go.
Awarded Video and Article Competitions: We will organize awarded article and video competitions to engage more people in the community. These competitions will encourage participants to research Zcash further and find more resources. As a result, more people will join the community and become knowledgeable about the project.
Telegram Support: In addition to encouraging people to join our Turkish Telegram group, we aim to provide continuous support and information on both Telegram and Discord to assist our community. This will demonstrate that, in the future, our Telegram group will become a much more active and interactive platform.
Goal: To promote Zcash to a wider audience in Turkey by leveraging social media, online, and face-to-face activities to engage with people and meet their needs.

In this proposal, an additional $700 per month is requested specifically for events. This amount will be held in a separate wallet address and will be used solely for upcoming activities. All expenditures will be transparently published through both GitHub and the forum.
This budget will cover AMA sessions, reward-based Twitter campaigns, local events, and crypto-related participations. Any unused portion of the event budget will be refunded after reporting (or carried over to the next term).
The estimated budget for Zcash Turkey will be used to cover the working expenses of the team members.

Startup Funding Justification
Our initial funding request is based on the fact that we have consistently submitted reports on the 19th of each month for the past three months. In our original proposal, we did not request a budget for the third month, as we had stated we would be submitting a new proposal. However, due to a misunderstanding, we did not get the opportunity to present that proposal.
To ensure the continuation of our progress and maintain consistency, we are now requesting a starting fund. If the proposal is approved, the first report will be submitted on May 19, 2025.

Update:
Our team continues to make progress. We are actively working to grow the community.
To better understand the development within our community, we launched a poll in the Zcash Türkiye Telegram group. You can join the group to view the results of the poll.
Approximately 30 people participated in the poll. The community supports our progress but also requests more active involvement in certain areas — specifically, community activities and participation in local events.
To accelerate our growth, we have requested a small event budget for this period.
Our first project with this budget is already set.
We had a meeting with the Yalova University Fitness Club and will be sponsoring them.
We aim for a long-term and socially impactful collaboration.
Our goal is to build a strong connection with the university and be part of a social movement, while introducing them to Zcash and creating meaningful engagement.
We have completed the necessary arrangements, and to start, 20 custom t-shirts will be printed and used in an upcoming running event.
Additionally, to encourage onboarding into the ecosystem, every participant at the launch event who downloads the Zashi wallet will receive a $5–10 ZEC reward.
Of course, the realization of these plans depends on the response to our proposal.
We are a committed team that strives to use Zcash’s resources wisely and is always open to growth.

Thank you for approving the proposal. As the Türkiye team, we will continue to move forward with the same determination during this period. Additionally, we will work to increase community participation by organizing regular events every month. We guarantee that all resources will be used in the most efficient and proper manner.
We’ve achieved a good engagement rate on Twitter and have maintained consistency. Compared to the previous period, our view statistics appear to be around 12% lower. The main reason for this is that Zooko is no longer retweeting all of our posts. LOL
We aim to generate organic engagement by potentially directing our audience to follow our social media accounts.
I’d like to emphasize that we’ve gone through a slow period in terms of Medium articles. We’ll be adopting a new and different strategy for publishing. We’ve planned to publish twice a week, covering original articles written by us as well as community updates. Each article will be shared with the community to boost engagement.
This month, we gained 4 new followers. We will make up for the issue that occurred at the beginning of the month and resolve it in the new period.
We’ve reached a stable level on Instagram and are making efforts to improve it further. To be honest, while it doesn’t receive as much attention as the X platform, we plan to run certain activities on Instagram in the new period to maximize engagement.
According to our monthly YouTube statistics, we had 1.7k views and 5.6 hours of watch time. Our weekly informative long-form video series continues regularly.
The average watch time for our Shorts videos is 14 seconds, and we are researching hook strategies to increase this to over 20 seconds.
The only concern here is the sudden addition of 33 subscribers. We’re not sure whether this was organic growth or a bot-related incident. We noticed that 13+ subscribers joined on two separate days. Since this is something we haven’t experienced before, we wanted to share this information.
We have a Telegram group made up of genuinely strong and engaged individuals. We continue to grow steadily with an increasingly active community.
During a recent short chat and Q&A event, 24 users participated live, and 18–20 of them actively answered the questions. Since we didn’t announce it to the global community, only Turkish users joined. Our goal is to hold these sessions weekly on a regular basis. Video recordings will also be taken during upcoming contests and chats.
In the last 30 days, 32 new members have joined our community, bringing the number of active users to 67. We aim to organize many events during this period by building a strong community.
We’d also like to mention that we’ve now joined BlueSky. Daily posts will begin shortly.
What sets this 3-month period apart from the previous ones is, of course, the event planning. We’re working on engaging with the community organically and making effective use of available resources. In the near future, we’ll be launching a meaningful and sustainable sports event in collaboration with university students as part of a long-term partnership.
Additionally, with the support of the event budget, we are planning both weekly and monthly events to grow the community.

We are excited to announce that the Zcash Türkiye team will be participating in the Istanbul Blockchain Week event taking place on June 26-27 in Turkey!
This event is expected to attract thousands of attendees and will be a major gathering in the blockchain space. Unfortunately, we were unable to rent a booth due to the high costs, with the lowest booth fee being around 10,000 euros. Since we do not have such a budget, we will be representing Zcash as individual participants on-site throughout the two days of the event.

The ticket cost for 3 people is $460 USD.

However, unfortunately, this remaining balance is not enough to cover basic expenses such as transportation (car, plane), accommodation, and meals. (Sadly, it barely covers transportation costs alone.)
At the event, we plan to create extensive content such as live broadcasts and interview videos. We will rent a camera and plan to record videos using an iPhone 11.
As a team, we are ready to represent Zcash at this event. We aim to reach more people and connect with social media influencers.
However, our budget is not sufficient to cover basic needs like accommodation, plane tickets, equipment, meals, and transportation. Therefore, we would like to announce our request for financial support from the community.
We need your donations to represent Zcash in the best possible way! We will share regular visuals and live broadcasts from the event venue, and you can be sure that we will deliver top-level representation.

Starting in May, we began creating video content to boost our performance on X, and we’re already seeing the positive impact of this new approach. Compared to the previous month, we’ve gained noticeable momentum—resulting in 15 new followers.

Instagram is progressing steadily. We’re making an effort to maintain consistency by sharing two posts per day without disrupting our routine. The content we share includes original posts we create ourselves, as well as translated posts from the official Zcash account.
We’re continuing with YouTube Shorts and long-form videos. This video I recorded myself has nearly 2,000 views. I’ll definitely be creating more video series like this. It seems like people enjoy seeing a real person in front of them more than watching pre-made videos!
I have a lapel microphone for this type of content. I’ll be creating a video series where I talk about Zcash by the seaside, in forested areas, and within the city.
Our transparent and organic growth on Telegram continues. Through community events and consistently responding to users, we believe we’re doing a great job reaching people.
Since last month, 30 new members have joined our Telegram group, bringing the total to 155. The group remains active at all times, and we’re happy to welcome the entire community!

We had banners and patches made to sponsor an airsoft team, and this will be announced soon if all goes smoothly.
We’re using the rest of our event budget to send 3 people to attend the Istanbul Blockchain Week event. We’ve launched a donation campaign on the forum and on social media to support this participation.
