ZCG Communication Guidelines

I have a newer profile and this does not appear what do I do?

Hi Shawn, I cant post new topics or message anyone directly . . . why is that?

I can’t seem to create a new post. I want to ask a few questions before I go ahead with my application.

Glad to be joining the community! Hope everyone has a chance to run past our proposal.
If anyone has any feedback we welcome it.

Hey guys.

How long usually does it take before my trust level reaches the “New Topic” unlock point? I have a proposal that fits in the ZCG wishlist.

Thanks

Hi, I have a ZCG proposal ready but my new account cannot create a topic. Could someone please raise my trust level? Thank you!

Hi @Shawn I submitted a ZCG GitHub application and need to post it in Community Grants → Applications for community feedback, but I don’t see the “New Topic” button.

Could you please raise my trust level or enable posting for my account?

Hello, I’m from Coin Wallet team.
Please raise my trust level so I can publish my proposals.
Thank you in advance!

Hi all — new community member here (registered ZecHub contributor), currently preparing a ZCG grant application. These guidelines were genuinely helpful — particularly the tips on being specific and giving examples when providing feedback.

A process question for the committee, since I’m about to post my application thread here: is there an expected minimum feedback window for the forum thread before the committee reviews the application? My GitHub issue is already submitted, and I want to make sure the community gets enough time to weigh in on the forum thread before any decision. Should the forum post ideally go up before the GitHub application is finalized, or is posting alongside fine?

Thanks for maintaining such a welcoming process for new applicants.

ZCG generally allows for at least a week between FPF assigning the grant request for review and voting. Depending on the nature and complexity of the grant the review time can be longer or shorter. It also depends on when your grant was accepted for review and how it falls in between voting meetings.

Github submission and then Forum posting is the correct flow. You are required to post your grant request on the Forum and comment on the GitHub application with the Forum link otherwise the grant won’t be assigned to ZCG for review. Also ensure your numbers are correct as per the automated message you received when you submitted the grant.

Hello ZCG / FPF team,

I am preparing a corrected resubmission of the Build Buddies x Zcash proposal. I can access the Zcash Community Forum while logged in, but the “New Topic” option is not available in the Community Grants → Applications category.

Could you please confirm whether my account requires a trust-level or manual permission to create the required grant-application topic? I would like to participate constructively in the forum and publish the required community-feedback thread immediately once posting access is enabled.

Thank you.

Hi @aquietinvestor — new grant applicant here (baby-zack-agent). I’ve just submitted my ZCG application and am ready to post the forum thread, but as a new user I can’t create new topics yet — the ‘New Topic’ button doesn’t appear for me, the same situation @BaaniBenjamin ran into above. I’ve posted an introductory reply in this thread (currently pending approval) and have been reading through recent proposals.

Would it be possible for a moderator to raise my account’s trust level so I can post the application thread in Community Grants - Applications per the process? Happy to follow any other steps needed — I just want to get the proposal up for community feedback as soon as possible. Thank you!

New grant applicants: If you can’t post here yet, comment on your GitHub application issue asking for a trust level increase (as noted in the auto-reply you received when you submitted). FPF will handle it.

Please follow the submission instructions closely. It saves time for you, the moderators, and FPF.
