We’ve been working hard to bring an idea we’ve had for a long time to life. Our goal is to bring the entire Zcash ecosystem together in one place, allowing users to access everything they need through a single mobile application.

Zec App will be a comprehensive mobile app where you can find everything related to Zcash in one place.

The app will include:

• Forum posts
• Discord events
• X (Twitter) announcements and Spaces
• Zcash statistics
• Wallets
• Exchanges where you can buy ZEC
• Official links and ecosystem resources

All of these resources will be available through a single, easy-to-use interface.

We’re also building several features to improve the overall user experience. For example, you’ll be able to:

• Receive notifications for new forum posts.
• Set reminders for upcoming events.
• Follow everything happening across the ecosystem from one application.

In addition, community teams will have access to an admin panel, allowing them to publish and manage their own events directly within the app.

The community is a core part of this project. That’s why we’ve developed dedicated admin panels for local communities and ecosystem teams. Any community that requests access will be able to publish events, announcements, and other content directly through the application.

We’re also implementing a push notification system so that whenever there’s an important development in the Zcash ecosystem, a single notification can instantly reach every user of the app. Our goal is to make sure important news reaches the community as quickly as possible.

Our vision is simple: bring every important Zcash resource together in one application, making it easier for users to stay informed. Whether you’re at your computer or on the go, you’ll be able to keep up with the entire Zcash ecosystem without having to switch between multiple websites and platforms.

We’re currently in the final stages of development, and if everything goes according to plan, we expect to release the app next week.

Development won’t stop after launch. We’re continuously researching additional official resources, statistics services, and useful tools that can be integrated to make the app even more valuable.

Community feedback is extremely important to us. If there’s a feature, official resource, or any idea you’d like to see included in the app, please share it in this thread. We’d be happy to evaluate your suggestions and incorporate them whenever possible.

Zec App Update — A Lot of New Features Have Arrived

Tools — A small but powerful toolbox has been added to the app. It now includes a live ZEC converter (USD, EUR, TRY, GBP, BRL, and SAR), a payment request generator that creates proper ZIP-321 QR codes (address + amount + memo, with live address validation), and an address checker that identifies whether an address is Transparent, Sapling, or Unified. It doesn’t just check the prefix—it actually verifies the Bech32 checksum.

QR Scanner — Scan any Zcash QR code or payment link. The app decodes the amount and memo, identifies the address type, and lets you copy the address or open it directly in any compatible wallet installed on your device.

Live Chain — My favorite feature. It displays the live block height with a progress bar counting down the next block (approximately every 75 seconds), along with the current hashrate, mempool, and 24-hour network statistics. It also includes an address watchtower feature. You can add any transparent (t) address and monitor its balance in real time. If you try to add a shielded address, the app will let you know that it can’t be monitored.

Portfolio — Enter the amount of ZEC you own (optionally including your purchase price) to track your portfolio value and profit/loss. Everything is stored locally on your device. No accounts, no addresses—nothing ever leaves your phone.

Chat — Four real-time chat rooms have been added: General, #price, #tech, and #beginners. Choose a nickname and, if you want, a profile picture once, and they’ll stay with you. No email or sign-up required. Built-in moderation tools such as reporting, message deletion, and rate limits help keep the chats clean.

Event Posters — Community ambassadors can now turn any event into a branded, shareable poster with a QR code in a single tap. I built this specifically for people organizing meetups.

Price Alerts — You can now set price alerts for targets above or below the current market price. The server checks prices every 1 minute, and push notifications will be fully enabled with the App Store and Play Store release.

Finally, the app never accesses your private keys. For anything involving funds, it simply redirects you to your preferred wallet.

As someone who struggles sometimes trying to find things in the Zcash ecosystem, This would be the best app for me.
