The ZEC on pancakeswap is not the real ZEC. Its a BEP-20 token issued by Binance Exchange.
You can deposit it into binance and withdraw using Zcash Network to any Zcash Wallet listed here, at which point you can shield your funds.

So, at this point in time there is not 1 reliable DEX for the real Zec. Do you know?
No reliable DEX yet but there will be ZEC on Maya Protocol fairly soon.
In the meantime there are plenty of non-custodial exchanges available.

Zec does not need to be like any other shitcoin in my opinion. If its regulated more than others, that’s ok. But if DEX becomes a part of it that’s even better.

Decred DEX supports ZEC but I guess it not that easy to use
ZEC on Shade protocol will be the best privacy on top of privacy when using the DEX.
for fast swaps with native zec to another asset I use fixed fload dex while maya does not come with its implementation for zcash (I’m looking forward to it) in addition to all this redbridge is coming to make secure zec available on EVM networks
