The inflation of zcash already makes it less appealing compared to btc and we are on the verge to hyper inflation and 51% attack
We need pure pos… About the funding that could be done through various methods like donations etc and we can also include donation button on all zcash wallet future zebra wallet, with selection like ECC, zcash foundation etc
Let’s not kill zcash but make it a future.

I think any conversion from PoW to PoS will be controversial. Its best for those that want to experiment with PoS to find projects with that focus from the beginning. Zcash has always been a PoW coin and therefore has built a large community that believes in the importance of PoW security for the same reasons as Bitcoin. I hope that Zcash remains a PoW currency for the long term

Zcash already has high inflation which makes miners absolute in future how pow is suppose to sustain in long run why not run studies for pos and get it implemented instead of panicking
Etc did the same look at them now they panicked and took the wrong path
They are going to look at it when ETH has finished their migration and Halo 2 is completed.
Zcash ZEC should stay POW.
That would take several years a token with market cap 20x the zcash is willing to go pos

Bitcoin in future would be failed tech.
Pos or something new algorithm which solves the energy issue would be better in long run.
People can also mine with renewable energy and the market will be greater in future. We don’t burn fossil fuels directly mining PoW. Your logic tells me that we shouldn’t even drive electric cars because it uses electricity.
Also, PoW mechanism brings greater security for the Zcash ledger. Higher costs to attack the network due to growing network hashrate.
Electric cars are better than fossil that burns and create pollution that kills eco system but pos is better
Let’s not mix tech with fossil fuel and electric cars.
Furthermore, your assumption on Bitcoin as a failed tech in the future vs Elon Musk. I trust Elon more than random person on internet.
Proof of stake brings better security cuz it wouldn’t choose what to mine and what not to mine and it would make staking desirable cuz mining gets easier with it everyone mines the blocks… Pow depends on few entity to mine blocks… But we all know pow isn’t sustainable
Let’s build something with pos and let’s bring something better
Bitcoin is the first crypto currency it will always have first mover advantage regardless of how crappy pow is and would be in future its a sign of new innovation
