ZOMG is not what i thought

Sure, as I mentioned above, per the ZIP ZOMG has no ability to fund “itself”. I understand that the reason the ZIP was written this way was to prevent self-dealing which is a good thing. But it also has the side effect of not allowing ZOMG to be able to hire staff to help itself.

Back when I ran for MGRC I said:

But the way the election worked out (and the $500 per month nominal compensation provided by ZF) is that the current ZOMG members can only commit to serving part-time.

I would love to hire a few talented people to work full time beating the bushes to drum up talent to work on Zcash, setting bounties, hosting meetups, interacting with grantees etc… but ZIP-1014 has zero flexibility for ZOMG to do this.
